Lufthansa First Class Terminal in Frankfurt

So, after flying in from YVR to FRA on 747 in First Class I decided to walk out of the main terminal and over to the First Class Terminal (FCT). The First Class Terminal is pretty unique as there are not many other airport that have this level of exclusivity and so I had to check it out!

Directions: Clear EU immigration and then walk out of the terminal, walk right outside (departures level), turn left walk along the sidewalk, past the taxi stand waiting area, then across a small road, you will see the FCT on the other side. It’s maybe a 5-10 minute walk and a nice breath of fresh air. Once you arrive take a quick elevator ride up to the security and terminal.

After you enter there is a quick security clearance so be ready to pull out your laptop and liquids. Then you will get a personal concierge who may hold onto your boarding pass and will be around if you need anything for your stay.

I asked if I could have a shower, so I was shown to a very spacious private shower and changing area.

Then I proceeded to the dining area and grabbed a small plate from the buffet. I also ordered a schnitzel which was very tasty.

Then I proceeded to have a look around and find a comfortable chair to relax in. There was a number of different areas with different types of seating and it was very quiet and peaceful.

There were servers wondering around, but you could also just go up to the bar. Just take a look at all the bottles — it was very well stocked. I asked for a red wine and was given a list of 30 or so different types they had available. They have spared no expense. There is also a cigar room — and they have complementary cigars.

But wait there’s more! Who wants to walk to their gate, when you can have a Mercedes and driver escort you directly to your plane. My plane was at a remote stand, so I was driven right to the staircase up to the plane. You should see the look of the common people who are getting off the crammed bus and my driver is opening the door for me of this Mercedes.

  1. if you fly first class YVR-FRA, but have a connecting business/econ flight onwards, do you still get to use the first class lounge?
