Going to Bali First Class on ANA, Thai, and Asiana!

So after winning 580,000 points from Air Canada’s Earn Your Wings promotion this past Spring 2015 I thought it was time to book a crazy fun itinerary to South East Asia in First Class.

Points: 210,000 Aeroplan
Taxes: $662
Retail Value of ticket: $14,000 (approx)
Destinations: Bangkok, Bali, Singapore, and Seoul

I did my research and the airlines offering the best product and who release Star Alliance reward seats in F where ANA, Thai, and Asiana. Naturally, I wanted to be the best aircraft possible which is the A380 or 777.

On the outbound I was able to get a seat on ANA’s 777 with First Class from SEA to NRT. ANA just added the First class product to this route for the first time. In fact there are no trip reports available online for it because it’s so new — which means I’ll have to write one 🙂

Then I’m connecting onto Thai’s A380 in First to Bangkok. From there I have some overnights and connections on Singapore in Business class. I’m excited about Singapore business (even though it’s not First) because they have “Book The Chef” which allows me to pre-order my meal from about 30 options. I’ve ordered Lamb and Lobster!

For the return I started to build my trip with ICN-LAX on the A380 in First and found a seat. To build around that I am flying Thai’s First class on A380 again from BKK. Then to get home LAX-YVR in Premium Rouge (I heard they got new seats so let’s see how that goes).

Here’s the overall flight plan with all the connections:
